Rising 9th Grade Student Audition Information

​

Wind Ensemble: 

1. Audition Material - The audition material for rising 9th grade students will be the same as the 2025-26 All County Band material.

3. Students will perform 6 major scales, chromatic scale, solo cut, and sight reading during the audition.

4. Auditions will be April 20-23, 2026 in the Grimsley HS Band Room.

Jazz Ensemble: 

1. Audition Material - The audition material for rising 9th grade students will be the same as the 2025-26 All Region Jazz Band material.

3. Students will perform the lead sheet to Bessie's Blues, the etude, and an improvisation over the accompaniment track.  Play the lead sheet first, then the etude, and then improvise over the last phrase.

4. Auditions will be April 20-23, 2026 in the Grimsley HS Band Room.
