Band Trip
All Grimsley band students are encouraged to participate in the annual band trip. Destinations vary from year to year with recent trips including the Bahamas, Disney World, and Atlanta. Each trip includes at least one, usually adjudicated, performance. Besides providing the students with the chance to play, and be judged, in a completely different venue, the trips also give the students the opportunity to explore interesting places together and so become a more cohesive group. Fundraiser organized by the Grimsley band parents’ organization, the Band Boosters, offer the students and their parents the opportunity to raise some or all of the cost of the trip. In addition, students who need financial aid are advised to apply for scholarships through the school. |
